Language day at the CADE Museum
Giving back to the community is one of my favorite things! Language day at the CADE Museum is a great way to learn about the current research we do at UF and the many ways language works. I conducted a mini-Spanish lesson for children and parents, assisted in the creation of various handouts for language learning, and helped visitors transcribe their names into the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).

Brain Language and Bilingualism Lab (BLaB)
As a lab researcher, I have had the opportunity to expand my skillset and learn about different methodologies, such as using electroencephalography also known as EEG. I have contributed to multiple experimental projects, such as the processing of morphologically complex words in second language learners, the effects of accentedness in moral decision-making, and the using social networks across a bilingual's lifespan.

Undergraduate Linguistics Society
Since I started my studies at UF, I have been an active member of the Undergraduate Linguistics Society (ULS). Being part of the ULS community allows me to create engaging events for students and faculty members. During the 2021-2022 academic year, I became the social media chair, and I'm the current president this academic year. I strive to create a community of dedicated, budding linguists by providing open discussions and learning and career opportunities. Here you can see some of the events that I organized this academic year.
